Handicraft

The Venue
Kanagawa social welfare center (Shakaifukushi Kaikan)
near Sakuragicho Station

Handicraft Group is the oldest hobby group. We meet to create different kinds of handicraft in the Shakai Fukushi Center near Sakuragicho Station, once a month. We have fun while chatting over lunch and enjoying cakes made by our members. The friendly atmosphere created by Japanese and foreign members has been truly wonderful.
Chorus

The Venue
Takenomaru center
near Yamate Station

The Chorus Group meets twice a month, mainly on the 2nd and 4th Friday, to enjoy arrangements in three part harmony. Music from all over the world is our norm and we are always ready to try something new. We enjoy it when we perform at the Welcome Party, the Bazaar, and the Cultural Festival at the Takenomaru Community Center, especially when the audience sings along with us.

The Venue
The venue will be informed before the date of an event.

Discover Japan
Our activities are mainly outdoors such as visiting museums, temples, and sake breweries, as well as hiking. We also enjoy other types of activities such as making unique crafts, viewing beautiful flowers, and attending different workshops. Every member brings ideas or plans to the twice-a-year general meetings, and then we decide which activities to carry out. We enjoy getting together and fostering friendship.

IFL Cooking (International Food Lovers)
IFL used to meet only in a member’s home, but as the group is getting bigger, this has changed a little. We now enjoy various kinds of cooking sessions, such as; a cooking lesson in the fish market, a potluck gathering in a party room, a luncheon in a reserved restaurant or banquet room, as well as continuing to meet in a member's home. Women from eighteen countries get together to eat and chat on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
